We specialise in tourism, business and academic translations between the Slovak and English languages. Our knowledge of these industries, coupled with our translation and project management experience, puts us in the perfect position to help localise your organisation.
We also regularly translate documents from Czech into English and have a lot of experience translating projects in other fields, especially medical and legal documents, but we believe our core strengths are in the three main areas below:
No industry suffers more from poor translations than the Travel and Tourism industry does. This might be partly down to companies thinking that they can get away without using a professional translation service, because there is no obvious technical language to translate. However, this really is a HUGE mistake.
It is not enough for a business to just have a great product or service, it also needs to correctly promote that product or service to its target market. Of course, this becomes even more challenging when trying to reach a foreign market with a different language and culture. And this is where AULT Translations can help.
Academic translations need a good understanding of the subject, as well as excellent writing skills. With over 1 Million words translated in the last 2 years alone, we at AULT Translations have the experience and the know-how to help get your articles, papers and monographs accepted in publications abroad.
We are David and Júlia Ault, a husband and wife partnership, who are ably assisted by a team of hand-picked, professional freelance translation experts. We are AULT Translations.
Translator, Writer & Marketing Guru, David is a British National who has lived in Slovakia since 2001. Having graduated with a BSc (Hons) Degree in European Business, David worked as a Marketing Manager in the Tourism Industry, while taking a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing at the CIM, before moving to Slovakia to start a tourism company. He began his career as a professional translator in 2005.
Translator, Special Pedagogue & Doula, Júlia is a Slovak National who was born into a family of anglophiles and was brought up as a bi-lingual child. Perhaps unsurprisingly, she read Slovak and English at university, before going to live in England for a few years. She then moved back to Slovakia to bring up her daughter, but still found time to go to university and graduate with a BA Degree in Special Education.
